With more than twenty years of experience in the health industry Mr. Cabello is currently the Scientific Director of the venture capital company Cross Road Biotech (CRB) and head of the Molecular Genetics Laboratory of the Ramón and Cajal Hospital in Madrid. He specialized in molecular Genetics in the Center of Human Genetics of the University of Leuven and has published numerous articles in this field. Mr. Cabello holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid where he also completed graduate courses of Human Genetics.
Dr. Castellon holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (UCM) and Specialist in Internal Medicine. Bachelor of Economic and Business Sciences (UAM). Master in Public Health and Master in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University. He began as a doctor in the Internal Medicine Department of the Hospital Clínico San Carlos de Madrid and belonged to the Social Security Medical Inspectorate, being responsible for planning of INSALUD in La Coruña. He was later Director General of the Galicia Health Service (1991-1995). In CAM he was the Vice Director of Health and Social Services and later Undersecretary of the MSC (1996-2000). Dr. Castellon set up the Spanish National Cancer Research Center (CNIO), the Spanish National Center for Cardiovascular Research (CNIC) and the Spanish Regulatory Agency of which he was Executive Chairman until 2000. He has collaborated as an advisor with various research foundations concerned with health sciences and has been a consultant for Banco Mundial. Dr. Castellon currently serves as the president of the venture capital company Cross Road Biotech, of which he is one of the founders.
Mr. Santos has extensive experience in the international business world, acquired over 25 years in Spain, the UK and USA in businesses such as Johnson’s Wax and Lilly. In his final period at Johnson he was Vice Chair of Marketing and Operations for the professional business in North America, where he was responsible for the development of strategy and solutions for the health and food service markets. Before becoming part of Johnson, he worked for Lilly in a variety of positions and divisions of the pharmaceutical group. He has been an Advisor for the Center for Hospitality Research of the Hotel Management School at Cornell University. Mr. Santos is an Agronomist (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) and has been involved in numerous specialized postgraduate courses. He is currently a partner the venture capital company Cross Road Biotech.
Mr. Castellon has served as Legal Counsel in many different companies ranging across industries and sizes. He is a partner of Castellón Abogados (1995, Madrid) and the managing partner of the venture capital company Cross Road Biotech (2001, Madrid). Mr. Castellon holds a Bachelor of Law and Economic and Business Sciences from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Master in Fiscal Consultancy from the Instituto de Empresa Madrid, Spain.
Mr. Perez has more than 10 years of experience in the Venture Capital Market and he has actively participated in over 40 deals. Currently he is the Managing Director of Clave Mayor, and responsible for the Life Sciences sector. Mr. Perez serves as Non-Executive Director in more than 10 companies related to the life science sector including Vivia Biotech, Hepacyl Therapeutics, Vivotecnia Research, Lactest, Activery, Ojer Pharma and Idifarma. Prior to joining Clave Mayor, Mr. Perez filled various positions with the University of Navarra, Banco Urquijo and Merck Sharp & Dohme. He holds a B.A. in Economics (University of Navarra) and MBA from IESE Business School. He lives in Pamplona and speaks fluent Spanish, English and French.

In 1987 he joined the venture capital firm ADE Capital Sodical (Sodical), taking on the role of the fund's CEO in 1998. Prior to joining Sodical, Mr. Fernandez filled various management and consultancy positions in companies such as Roland Berger S.A. Mr. Fernandez holds a university degree in Industrial Engineering from the Superior Technical Scholl for Industrial Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Mr. Fernandez specialized in Business Administration, completed various postgraduate studies and authored a number of publications.
